It is also a spiritual thing for me. The beauty of the sunrise over the hill amidst the fog is awesome. The skies are a different color every day, as if an artist painted them. I found myself excited each morning about walking with these Highland Lassies.
Nevertheless, as I peered out my glass door, I could see the troops coming. I hurried out to meet them and pasted a smile on my face. There were about 5 of them. They were laughing, talking and most of all walking briskly as I strived to keep up the pace. Just as I was getting used to the pace, we started up this big, long hill. I then realized that this hill was the reason the subdivision was called “The Highlands of Scotland Yards.” I struggled, trying not to let the others hear me gasp for breath. How did I get so out of shape? Wasn’t it just a couple of years ago that I was teaching exercise classes and water aerobics. Now, I wouldn’t want to even get in front of a group of people with my expanding body...that was 15 or 20 pounds ago.
The morning of the second week came all too soon. We all went to weight watchers together. When my turn came,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I got on the scale,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], thankful that no one else except the receptionist could see my weight. She wrote down something on my card that I brought back from the previous week and silently handed it back to me. I glanced at the card, as I went to sit in our “Highlands Group” and was shocked. The last thing I wanted to do was walk. She was sure it would work the soreness out. I am thinking to myself “what have I got myself into? Now, I have to go to the gym, too? Ugh!”
We are like soldiers going to battle,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. Each with determined looks and clutched fists reaching out...reaching out to power and confidence. I hear our feet in sync as we march up the hill. We are a force together fighting the enemy.
Reluctantly and with much will power, I shocked Jim almost into cardiac arrest, as I arose at 5:30am. I made coffee and toast as I tried to work out a story in my mind as to why I could not continue to walk after today. When I bent down to tie my sneakers, I winced at the extra spare tire that had accumulated around my waist. Surely, I could lose this weight on my own and without getting up at daybreak, I told myself.
One day when we were all walking, I jokingly told Debbie I needed a personal trainer. She wasn’t joking when she answered back and said she would be happy to write a program and even train me. Mariana joined me the first time. Now,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], there are about 6 of us going to our wonderful work-out room with Debbie twice a week for instructions. The doctor had warned me that when I went on the prescribed medication, I would probably gain up to 30 pounds. “Watch the carbs,” she said, as she scribbled on the pad. That was easy for her to say. In your training and in your teaching you should be aware of effective fitness cross training methods. (See inset below) Incorporating time to fill in your weak spots will make you a better martial artist, teacher and human machine.
Lets talk about how to make purple paint. If you start with red paint and blue paint and you slowly mix together the right ratio of the two colors you will get purple. If you use more red, you get a redder violet; more blue paint and you get an indigo shade. The thing is,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if you want purple you can't just keep pouring blue- even if you like blue better- you can't make purple out of just blue.
So what does this have to do with fitness and cross training? The problem of "Yoga and Creativity" is a problem of emotional golden middle, relevant for the population of developed countries in the West as never before.
Practicing asana, we, as noted earlier, is completely eliminated at any time from everyday reality. There is a change in the habitual perception of something different and unfamiliar, and in this moment of real hidden possibility of error. Its essence is that being immersed in an unusual and seemingly pointless work with the body, man can not part with disturbing thoughts, which are chewing experiences and challenges of everyday life. In fact, being immersed in the practice of asana,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and a way to eliminate from the ordinary world,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], should now work through this free from the presence of this world in the mind and consciousness - completely forget about it during a yoga body! If this effect is not achieved, then what you do - not yoga and you can do it at least a thousand years, not even a step nearer to realization.
In the asana,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], by definition, the mind must be limited to only the body but in the early stages of development one way or another from outside, through the perception, spread to various disturbances. Mind spontaneously shuffles bits of the most significant external impressions, and this means the loss of the current object of activity, its invisible and involuntary substitution. The practice of asana loses a fair share of sense, as a model, the "external" state of mind, firstly, due to the usual level of tension of the nervous system, and secondly, provokes in the body of the standard patterns of stresses. We fall into an absurdity, performing a special work of the body with absolutely no charge to her state of mind. This is a fatal illusion - at least with regard to yoga asana - which you can think of one successful and doing another.
Genres of consciousness at the time working with the body must change absolutely - and I stress this again and will repeat later many more times in the very different context. The main classes in asana - to completely disable the mind and consciousness of everyday life, is what provides the main psychotherapeutic effect in the life of yoga, and also forms the skills of introspection without which categorically impossible mastery samyama.

It is normal when controlled. If such sensitivity arises and exists beyond your control,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], be sure to take the necessary measures. So what can SAD sufferers preparing for the arrival of the fall and winter months do in order to control their changes in body and mind? Especially important is what can SAD sufferers who seek a drug-free approach to controlling SAD symptoms do?
Aromatherapy, which can be used during massage, is also helpful in controlling the symptoms of SAD. According to Peters (2008), the smells from essential oils can stimulate positive emotions by affecting our limbic system. The essential oils that treat the symptoms of SAD best include;

Any type of regular massage therapy, along with other practices such as bright light therapy, and regular exercise, has been proven to decrease the symptoms of SAD.

For the answer to this question we can look as far back as the Roman Empire for advice. Roman Emperor Tiberius suggested the following steps to take back control:

These anti-depressant drugs have helped to regulate communication within the brain, and eased the symptoms of depression. According to Rosenthal (2005) reducing your stress and being around supportive people who make you feel comfortable can help SAD sufferers control their moods. Massage fulfills both of these needs. Massage helps both the body and mind leave the “fight or flight” part of our nervous systems and move into our parasympathetic nervous systems where we can find our natural relaxation response. While stress makes our muscles shorten and tighten,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], massage does just the opposite by softening and lengthening our muscles. In addition, massage helps balance our endocrine system, which is responsible for the release of hormones. It can also affect your blood pressure causing you to feel dizzy or light headed and sometimes causing fainting spells.

It also has a negative effect on the potassium levels in your body and that can put you in potential danger for possible drug abuse.
